Residents of Botany, Pagewood, Hillsdale and surrounding suburbs can now access government services more easily with the opening of the new Service NSW Centre at Eastgardens.

Officially launched by the Minister for Customer Service, Jihad Dib, the centre allows locals to renew their driver licence, apply for an Owner-Builder Permit, request a Seniors Card, and more in just one location.

Situated on Level 2 of Westfield Eastgardens at 152 Bunnerong Road, the centre has already been serving locals since its soft launch on June 2. Customers enjoy free three-hour parking, public transportation access with bus stops nearby, and proximity to other government services such as Centrelink and Medicare.

This new centre offers over 1,000 NSW government transactions and services, including the ability to register vehicles, apply for a Working with Children Check, and order new birth certificates. "Service NSW is a one-stop-shop for services which are essential for people's lives," stated Minister Dib.

Eastgardens serves as the third service centre in Bayside, joining Botany and Rockdale.

The Service Centre is open Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm and Saturday 8:30am – 12:30pm.

Michael Daley, Member for Maroubra, expects the new centre to welcome over 80,000 customers within its first year alone. He said, "The new Service NSW centre will mean there is now a nearby location for much of my community to access the range of government services on offer."
